Safeguarding

The parish safeguarding officer is: Sally Howells

St Nicholas Church has agreed a Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults Policy which is available here.

This requires “Outside Bookings” ( i.e. For groups and activities that take place on church premises that are not run on behalf of the PCC) at which children will be present to follow certain procedures.   These are outlined in the above policy.

Past Cases Review 2

The Bishop of Coventry has written to all parish and Cathedral incumbents within the diocese requesting they check their records to ensure that all safeguarding concerns have been identified and responded to appropriately. This is part of the Past Cases Review 2 (PCR2), commissioned by the House of Bishops to ensure that our churches and church related activities are as safe as possible for children and vulnerable adults.  Full details can be found here
